Even if the full amount of the witch hazel dose in the spray were to enter the intestinal tract, it is so low in concentration as to be of no consequence to the intestinal tract.

It is important to realise that hemorrhoids are the result of gastrointestinal problems for the most part – eg things that cause constipation have their effect in the gastrointestinal tract – so taking a substance that is known to have an adverse effect on the gastrointestinal tract is not such a great idea, and taken internally, witch hazel can also affect the function of a myriad of other drugs and supplements you may be taking. Having said that, for a healthy person, witch hazel is considered reasonably safe to take internally even if pregnant (though I would not suggest you use during pregnancy).

2. Are there any safety precautions, adverse side effects for Venapro?
